Tire Balancing

Tire balancing is the process of making sure a tire and wheel spin evenly without causing vibration. Even if a tire looks perfectly round, small weight differences around the wheel can cause it to wobble or shake when you're driving — especially at higher speeds.

To fix that, a technician uses a tire balancing machine. The tire and wheel are mounted on the machine, which spins them to detect any heavy or light spots. Then, small weights are attached (usually to the rim) to even out the distribution of mass.

The goal is to ensure the wheel-tire assembly rotates smoothly around the axle. Unbalanced tires can lead to vibration, uneven tire wear, and even premature wear on suspension components. Balancing them helps your car drive smoother, improves handling, and extends the life of your tires.

Tire Rotations

Tire rotations are important because they help your car stay safe and your tires last longer. When you drive, the tires on your car don’t all wear down the same way.

For example, the front tires usually wear out faster than the back ones because they do more turning and carry more weight. If you leave the tires in the same place for too long, they can get worn out unevenly. This can make your car harder to drive and even dangerous if the tires get too thin in some spots.

By rotating your tires, which means switching their positions on the car, each tire gets a chance to be in a different spot. This helps them wear down more evenly. When the tires wear evenly, your car drives better, your tires last longer, and you don’t have to replace them as often. That saves money and keeps you safer on the road.

Wheel Alignment

Wheel alignments are important because they help your car drive straight and keep your tires from wearing out too fast. Sometimes, your wheels can get knocked out of place, like if you hit a big bump or a pothole. When that happens, the wheels might not point in the right direction anymore. If your wheels aren’t lined up the right way, your car might pull to one side, and you have to keep turning the steering wheel just to go straight.

When the wheels aren’t aligned, the tires also rub against the road in the wrong way. This makes them wear out unevenly, and you might have to get new tires sooner than you should. A wheel alignment fixes the angles of the wheels so they’re all pointing the right way. This helps your car drive better, makes it safer, and helps your tires last longer.
